I am out-of-network with all private insurance companies. However, I use a professional biller Birth Professional Billing to reach out to your insurance company, find out how much they are likely to pay, and to bill them after all services have been provided to get you as much of a refund as possible.
Most Healthshares will pay my fees in full, so if you have Samaritan, Liberty HealthShare, Christian Healthcare Ministries, Samaritan Ministries, Medi-Share, Altrua HealthShare, Sedera, DPC Direct, HSA Secure or others please reach out!
I have a Prompt Pay price of $4,800 for my full midwifery services (with the exception of additional visits not included in routine prenatal care, postpartum care and certain labs/medications/ultrasounds/supplies needed) though this usually does not amount to very much money. Usually insurance companies will pay for labs and ultrasounds (and some medications). Prompt Pay price means that the full amount is paid by 36 weeks of pregnancy.
Discounts
I do have discounts that I offer on my services. This includes repeat client, military, and others that can save you up to $500. Please reach out via text or call to 512-745-9635 or email me at nikki@sunflowermidwifery.com for more details.
I offer a reduced fee of either $4400 or $4000 for those who do not qualify for Medicaid but are earning less than 4 times the Federal Poverty Limit (FPL). Check out this tool to see if you may qualify (this tool should include all forms of income, not just salary).*
*This is contingent on accurate reporting of your annual income, a copy of your accepted Federal Tax Return (within the last year), and that you do use Birth Professional Billing if you have insurance. Any insurance reimbursement for maternity or newborn care will be paid to the midwife up to $5,500 plus incidental fees (if paid in full by 36 weeks or $8,000 if the full payment is not made by 36 weeks – this does not include the Birth Professional Billing fee of 10% of insurance reimbursement).
I am a Medicaid provider in the state of Virginia.
A lot of people use their tax refunds, crowd funding from friends and family and bartering as a means of paying for my services. It never hurts to reach out.
