Nikki brought such a gentle, reassuring presence to my birth. She create the safe space I needed to birth intuitively – I knew she was right there, carefully watching over me and my baby, present for me the second I needed her. But she was also confident enough to step back and let my body work when it needed to! It was so nice to have in-home prenatal and postpartum visits – I looked forward to every one! And I always felt welcome to call or text any time I needed anything between appointments. I really trust Nikki’s knowledge and skill as a midwife, and will use her again if we have another baby! – Jessica S.
We used the Trillium House & Nikki for my prenatal/ postpartum care & delivery for my sixth pregnancy. This was my first birthing house birth & by far my best experience. Nikki was absolutely amazing & knowledgeable. I loved the one on one experience with my midwife during my pregnancy. I made it full term with my daughter & naturally went into labor at my home just a few days shy of my due date. I waited at my home for labor to progress for several hours & then notified Nikki & another midwife in training to meet me at Trillium once I felt I had progressed far enough with my contractions. This was my first completely unmedicated labor & birth, Nikki used various herbal teas & holistic approaches to accommodate to my needs. I felt at peace & relaxed during contractions & labor. Towards the end I made use of their birthing pool & successfully birthed my daughter in water. Nikki was amazing with assisting myself & my partner postpartum. We were able to go home that same night to our other children with my newest daughter. If I were given the chance I’d chose Nikki & Trillium again for future births. -Ashley P.
Absolutely wonderful experience working with Nikki and Sunflower Midwifery. Home visits made everything so much more comfortable and much easier for us, and the care and attention given during our home birth was beyond what I ever expected. I felt so seen and heard the entire time, and she seemed to know exactly what I needed, whether it was guidance through a challenging part or if I needed a little space for a beat.
